THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Spoon Restaurant Review:
Chef Brian Pekarcik's first co-venture with business partner Rick Stern is as relevant today as it was when it debuted in 2010. A bar, lounge, destination dining spot and neighborhood gem, Spoon attracts a diverse and savvy clientele to its warm, comfortable environment. A consistently high-performing team turns out sophisticated cocktails, makes recommendations off of the wine list and produces a California-influenced menu utilizing fresh, seasonal ingredients from highlighted local producers. Innovative preparations spike such dishes as the crispy-skin striped bass, and various "two-ways" selections pop up, too. Many still view Spoon as a special occasion eatery, and as such make a point to indulge in desserts ranging from the chocolatey and consistently good Spoon Bar (basically your childhood dessert dreams coming to reality) to an artisanal cheese platter or house-made sorbets and ice cream.
