Sushi Mito Restaurant Review:
A rarity among Asian restaurants, Sushi Mito fields a wide-ranging menu that embraces a huge assortment of classical dishes, from sushi and sashimi to pork tonkatsu, teriyaki and tempura. It also offers a 150-item izakaya menu. We especially enjoy the tataki (beef and tuna) and the udon with its rich broth. Bento boxes at lunch and dinner create value dining opportunities. Vegetarians may compose a reasonably varied meal from the tempura, a veggie sushi roll and spinach dishes. But what really sets this restaurant apart from so many others of the same genre is the wine list, with three rosés and some Rieslings, along with appropriate reds, all great with the food. A good saké list also is available. A quiet atmosphere appropriate for business or romance, a bright décor, a busy sushi bar and expeditious service all support the kitchen’s work. Kaiseki and other special dinners may be arranged.
