Sushi Taku Restaurant Review:

It’s a mixed bag of guests who patronize this Wicker Park restaurant: the family treating their kids just out of elementary school; friends meeting for lunch or dinner; the solo diner craving nigiri. Regardless of the reason, convenience and an affordable all-you-can-eat option ($18.99 for lunch, $23.99 for dinner) make for compelling reasons to try this neighborhood spot, where the owner might greet diners at their table. (Disclaimer: The all-you-can-eat menu is limited to certain items, as noted.) Sturdy signature rolls include the Mango Tango Roll, the Fire Phoenix Roll and the Green Turtle Roll. Add-on entrées --- think chicken katsu, beef and chicken teriyaki --- arrive with miso soup, steamed rice and house salad. A petite dessert list is just enough after a feast, and includes the two pieces of mochi ice cream in mango, strawberry, vanilla or chocolate. Wash the food down with Kirin or Tsingtao beer. It’s not BYOB.
