Ted's Montana Grill Restaurant Review:
From the panoramic landscapes of big-sky country adorning the walls to the big name on the sign --- media emperor Ted Turner is a co-founder --- this chain is a salute to expansionism in the guise of a tribute to the American West. So it's no wonder that the menu celebrates size as well. Meat is the staple: numerous burgers and cuts come from both the cow and the bison; as your waiters are only too pleased to inform you, the latter is sourced from "Mr. Turner's herds," and though it tends to be pricier, it's tender and flavorful. Everything else is sizeable yet affordable, from the inch-thick hand-battered onion rings to the Wedge Salad --- a quarter-head of lettuce substantiated by tomatoes and bacon and drizzled with vinaigrette. Desserts make for surprisingly slim pickings, but the cookies are colossal.
