Union Public House Restaurant Review:

Union Public House is the centerpiece restaurant in chic St. Philip’s Plaza and so its gastropub menu might seem a bit out of place. Yes, it can be noisy, especially when the young, hip, after-work crowd arrives, but the food is worth it. We always order the hot-from-the-oven soft pretzels that come with two different mustard-based spreads. Main dishes we can’t pass up are the chicken and waffles with its white corn waffle and maple-infused bacon, and the fish ‘n’ chips that are at once crispy and light. Pub chips are house-made and mixed with blue cheese and crisp pork belly. We also suggest the shredded-style onion rings. The wine and beer lists are nice, but Union is known for building some fine craft cocktails.
