Bamboo Restaurant Review:
Bamboo’s décor includes funky dangling cobalt lamps and bold chartreuse walls that are dotted with colorful abstracts and a portrait of the King of Thailand. Start with the tender beef satay with peanut sauce and cucumber vinaigrette, or spicy sriracha wings served with a cool mango dipping sauce. You’ll find traditional preparations like hot and spicy soup, curries and stir-fries, along with a unique vegetable dumpling soup. We like the “meal in a bowl” selections, especially the soy sauce duck soup filled with tender slices of boneless duck peppered with bean sprouts, scallions and cilantro. Or perhaps pair a glass of warm saké with kao krapao made with ground chicken, beef or pork stir-fried with garlic and basil leaves and kicked up a notch with Thai bird chili and jalapeño peppers.
