This favorite neighborhood bistro offers warming and comforting food, with no fancy presentations or dated designs. The menu changes with the market’s offerings, but great finds include single-portion skillet-served cassoulet, pork osso buco and perfect mussels arrive perfectly cooked. Try the Bang Martini, a tangled layering of biscotti and ice cream, for dessert. Great coffee, good Bloody Marys and bellinis and lively, friendly service make it a winner. Just ask the neighbors, who throng here.
