Bangkok Blue Restaurant Review:
You won’t find anything over the top at this Copley Square Thai restaurant. Located across from the Boston Public Library, Bangkok Blue is a bright, plant-filled room that offers a nice respite after shopping nearby. In the evenings, college students swarm here to nosh on drunken noodles and yellow curry dishes. Dumplings are lighter than the usual thick-skinned versions, their meat stuffing pungent. We also like the massaman curry, filled with sweet potatoes, onion, carrots and peanuts in a sweet coconut milk curry sauce. Mee krob is a crispy, complex noodle dish that is essentially upgraded pad thai. “Noodles seaworld” is filled with stir-fried noodles tossed with shrimp, scallops, calamari, shiitake mushrooms and vegetables. House specialties include lemon grass chicken, wild boar basil and Bangkok duck.
