Beerhaus Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: Brick walls, hardwood tables, lots of natural light and an outdoor patio create a comfortable and relaxed setting at Beerhaus within The Park Las Vegas. Entertainment comes in the form of myriad games, Jenga, Connect Four, ping pong, shuffleboard and foosball among them, plus TVs tuned into sports. Live bands turn up the energy Thursday through Sunday, so expect a packed house these evenings, as well as following events at the adjacent T-Mobile Arena.
About the food: Servers come around to take guests' drink orders, but those looking for food must head to the Eats Counter. You might begin with the fried pickles, which are battered spears rather than the usual rings. The slow-roasted shaved beef sandwich with atomic horseradish slaw and white cheddar is another top pick, as is the nicely seasoned, half free-range chicken flanked by roasted potatoes and sweet onions. For a sweet finish, try the Bye Felicia ice cream sandwich with vanilla sprinkle ice cream.
About the drinks: As the venue’s name implies, beer is taken seriously --- one side of the menu lists more than 60 choices arranged by style, alcohol by volume and origin of brewer. Nine of the group are local brews and are highlighted in red. A daily happy hour from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. offers snacks and beer.
