Benihana Restaurant Review:
Benihana Village presents a memorable night of dining, complete with a view of the beautiful koi in its pond. We always enjoy the culinary show, too---a knife-wielding chef working his magic on our table's own personal teppan grill. At breakneck pace, he chops veggies, whips the tails off dozens of shrimp and makes an odd sort of music while flipping the salt and pepper shakers about. The hibachi dinner includes a shrimp appetizer; Japanese onion soup; salad with ginger dressing; entrées of chicken, shrimp, swordfish and steak served with mounds of bean sprouts, julienne zucchini, mushrooms, onions and rice; and green tea. All too soon, the chef bows his goodbyes, usually to a round of applause. Refresh your palate with a scoop of ginger or green tea ice cream. The robata area features a variety of vegetable, chicken, steak, pork and seafood preparations, such as tempura and katsu, created on authentic Japanese broilers. Pan-Asian noodles, congees and rice dishes as well as other Asian specialties are prepared by expert chefs in the 888 Noodle Bar exhibition kitchen. Tuesday through Saturday evenings in Teru Sushi within Benihana, sashimi and sushi is offered, along with appealing appetizers.
