Big 4 Restaurant Restaurant Review:
The Scarlet Huntington’s Big 4 Restaurant, a Nob Hill classic that celebrates the era of the four railroad tycoons for whom the restaurant is named, has reopened after a refresh. Longtime fans should find the spot updated but mostly unchanged --- the piano, deep booths and white tablecloths remain. Miguel A. Garcia Junior is now the executive chef. The menu has included brioche french toast, steak tartare, grilled Berkshire pork chop, and profiteroles with caramel gelato. Cocktails such as the Golden Spike (Sheep Dip Scotch, apricot liqueur, Licor 43) and a largely California-sourced wine list also hail the city's heritage.
