Big Cheese Restaurant Review:
There's a reason that Big Cheese has been a city favorite for decades, and we're pretty sure it has to do with the garlic rolls. Pizza is also in order, of course, and pies are hefty Italian-American-style creations, overloaded with an abundance of cheese, pepperoni, meatballs, pineapple, grilled chicken breast and even seafood (try the seafood pizza). The kitchen offers "red sauce joint" standards as well, like lasagna and meatball subs, plus salads, calzones and strombolis, typical bar bites and party platters. Only a mile or so from the University of Miami campus, the restaurant pays homage to the college's sports teams with posters and autographed photos that fill the room with hometown spirit and students. Come during the weekend and expect to wait for a table.
