THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Big Time Cafe Restaurant Review:

The name of this casual, corrugated-tin building near the Heights belies its small size and down-home charm. The café’s exterior design, reminiscent of a saloon in a gold rush town, is the perfect introduction to the simple fare inside. The specialty here is po boys, and some of the combinations sound wild, but they’re worth a try. A hit is the turkey and salami with jalapeno mayonnaise. Other tasty sandwiches include roast beef, ham and cheese and an Italian hoagie. Treat yourself to a side of dill potato salad or, better yet, even a steaming cup of red beans and rice or Big Time’s chili, which is muy caliente. Just a few tables can be found inside the sparse counter café, but on pretty days, a deck area offers a nice break from the office grind of nearby downtown.
