THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Biggs Restaurant Review:

We’re glad the remodeling did not corrupt the intrinsic character of this 125-year-old mansion with its high ceilings and intimate atmosphere. The impressive woodwork alone is worth a look-see. Dining is on two floors, but we prefer the first floor by far (at these prices it is nice to be seen). Classics abound here: oysters Bienville, châteaubriand for two, Dover sole filleted tableside. Desserts have been a let down---insipid Key lime pie and lackluster chocolate cake, for example. The service has its moments of savvy. The adjoining caviar-and-martini bar is the place for late-night dining. The wine list is quite extensive.
