The Black Sheep Restaurant Review:
The Black Sheep offers chef/partner Jamie Tran's take on modern American-Vietnamese food. Tran trained under Charlie Palmer at Aureole and was formerly executive chef at DB Brasserie. Her signature dishes include bao sliders with house-made pork sausage; Scottish king salmon clay pot with smoked eggplant, plum salad and scented farro; and slow-cooked short rib with yucca gnocchi. "The Black Sheep" cocktail features coffee-infused Jim Beam Rye Whiskey, crème de cacao, vanilla crème syrup and Uinta Baba Black Lager, topped with whipped cream. The 50-seat restaurant has gray walls, muted industrial lighting, a mirrored accent wall, aluminum awning and a 24-foot mural of a landscape dotted with sheep.
