Bohemian rock ‘n’ roll gastropub at Hollywood’s epicenter offers fine microbrews and decent food.
THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED BoHo Restaurant Review:
BoHo is tucked into the Hollywood & Highland mall’s fourth floor alongside corporate monoliths like Rolling Stone and Hard Rock Café. Tourists quaff brews while a sexy club crowd preens at this sultry bohemian gastropub designed by architect David Mamman and Spacecraft’s Kristopher Keith. A galaxy of eclectic vintage chandeliers twinkles romantic light over lush foliage, dark wood and leather seating. The luxe-American menu can be a bit hit or miss, though. Sub-standard tomatoes brought the burrata salad down a notch, but the beer-battered fish and chips turned out to be a highlight. Upscale burgers, baby-back pork ribs and roast chicken round out the pub grub, while a wood-burning oven turns out decent pizzas. Handcrafted cocktails enchant --- we recommend the bourbon-based "sweetbird." An impressive list of local and American craft beers on tap ranges from Craftsman 1903 lager to Stone Belgo Imperial Russian Stout.
