Ensconced in a friendly inn a block from the Convention Center and three blocks from the Strip, this cozy restaurant and its 12-seat bar are draws for locals as well as visitors. Among breakfast options is the pain perdu --- stuffed french toast with maple pecan cream cheese sandwiched between slices of thick cut bread bathed in custard batter. Bourbon Street wings, quesadillas, Caesar salad, nachos and sandwiches, such as the Cuban, are staples, as is the blue cheese bacon burger with light Dijonnaise sauce. Fish ‘n’ chips, chicken fried steak, sizzling fajitas and fettuccine Alfredo are served in hearty portions. Carrot cake, the house signature cheesecake and double chocolate cake come garnished with whipped cream.
