While the food isn’t exactly what you’d get in Louisiana, Bon Temps Creole Café is still a fun place to “laissez les bon temps rouler.” Start your morning with chicory coffee along with eggs Sardou or an omelet with andouille sausage. At lunch, tuck into a catfish po’ boy and a cup of gumbo ya-ya. Dinnertime brings jambalaya, Cajun barbecue shrimp and even alligator etouffée. Enjoy a bottle of Abita beer or one of several wines by the glass. Be sure to save room for desserts such as rich bread pudding or sweet potato pie.
