Bosphorus Café Restaurant Review:
Situated in a former duplex along a busy highway, Bosphorus Café is the real deal, offering authentic Turkish cuisine and warm hospitality. Turkish carpets, travel posters and friendly servers set the mood while aromas of simmering dishes tantalize the palate. The choice of appetizers is tempting, but it's the lentil soup that regulars favor. The Iskender kebab, a hearty dish of grilled lamb and beef layered over chunks of fried pita, smothered in a spicy tomato sauce and cooling yogurt, is as good as any we have had in Turkey. The same goes for the savory roasted eggplant stuffed with ground beef, bell peppers and a blend of herbs. For dessert, there's ayran, a soothing Turkish yogurt drink, baklava or Mediterranean rice pudding with a cup of Turkish coffee served with flair.
