About the restaurant: A DJ and scantily dressed servers set the tone for this clubstaurant in River North --- even if it’s 11 a.m. on a Saturday. High-tops and roomy booths anticipate the groups of nightlifers heading in for cocktails and shareable bites. There are multiple flatscreens for sports viewing. The roof, complete with eastern- and southern-facing skyline views, is a more intimate space away from the downstairs action.
Likes: Rooftop option.
Dislikes: Not much atmosphere before noon on weekends.
Food & Drinks: The many dinner selections provide a base for late-night drinking, while an extensive brunch serves as a hangover cure. The former offers a solid roster of burgers, wings and flatbreads. For the latter, try the hunky lobster roll, beer-braised rib hash with fingerling potatoes and the fun Cap’n Crunch crusted-chicken nuggets. The chopped salad with chickpeas, romaine, feta and pepperoncini is oversized for sharing. A well-edited beer, wine and cocktail menu reps the high (Opus One) and low (Bud, PBR) and everything in between (Goose Island and Kung Fu Girl Riesling).
