Brasserie Joel Restaurant Review:
Joël Antunes has departed Brasserie Joël for his own establishment in Mayfair, leaving a well-run, highly enjoyable hotel restaurant. It’s in a large space on the first floor of the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London, at the center of a group of restaurants and bars that give the place a real buzz. The black-walled environs are best seen in the evening, when you can dine first then listen to live music next door. The menu is full of classics --- starters of tomato gazpacho or chicken and duck asparagus salad to share, roast baby chicken and grilled scallops. Pastas and risottos make an appearance, as does beef bourguignon. It’s a lengthy menu with something for every taste. 2-course lunch £11.95; 3 courses £13.95; 2-course Sunday lunch £19.95.
