THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Breads of India Restaurant Review:

Chef-owner Rohit Singh took a cue from his Berkeley spot, branching out to this Oakland locale with added improvements. (There are also two Breads of India food trucks operating in San Francisco.) Hung with lavish chandeliers and elaborate Indian artworks, Breads of India’s spacious Oakland outpost is a tad more glamorous than the humble Berkeley original, and even features a full bar. However, the classic and regional Indian cuisine remains. More than 170 varieties of bread and 700-plus dishes rotate through the day's evolving menu, and the authentic fiery recipes --- with all-organic ingredients and the use of olive oil instead of ghee --- are the draw.
