BRGR Restaurant Review:
The flagship outpost of BRGR shares a kitchen with its upscale sister restaurant and next-door neighbor Spoon. No reservations are accepted --- it’s first come, first served. There’s a long beer list as well as signature spiked or non-alcoholic shakes and floats. Gourmet burgers include wittily titled offerings such as Sante Fe Hippie (black bean and corn patty) and California Lovin’ (avocado, sprouts and pesto mayonnaise). Custom-blended Angus beef burgers and a locally made hot dog, fries and house-made chili are available, too. For dessert, choose from an ice cream sandwich and a chocolate brownie à la mode. In good weather, the second-story roof becomes an al fresco bar. The Button Buster burger (with short ribs, white cheddar, béarnaise aïoli and crisped onions) is served in the open air during warmer months. Other locations.
