Brick Lane Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: Located in the Dupont Circle area, where millennials and many more head to dine, Brick Lane is a cool, happening place to hang out with friends. The space offers limited seating: a few tables on the first floor; accommodations upstairs; at the bar; in pleasant weather, outdoors on a front patio. But if you must wait, then do so. Part of the charm is the dark woods and the brick wall.

Likes: Happy service.
Dislikes: Crowded seating.

Food & Drinks: Several of the menu items appear for all three mealtimes. Lunches and weekend brunches bring omelets or steak and eggs; for the latter, go for the traditional eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon, poached eggs and English muffin. Kick it up a notch by changing it to the Caprese Benedict with heirloom tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Go for the roasted red pepper hummus with grilled pita. You could supplement it with the fresh watermelon salad with shaved red onions and feta cheese to add a bit of crunchy sweetness. At dinner, consider the coconut shrimp salad, the New Zealand rack of lamb, or the tequila-lime hanger steak with sautéed onions. Desserts are a no-brainer; who could ignore the chocolate lava cake with espresso caramel? Ask about the cocktails and selections from the limited wine list to round out the experience.
