Buca di Beppo Restaurant Review:
The hook here is the food --- piles of it --- all served family-style with gusto at this Italian-American chain. Nothing is subtle. Everything is done to excess, but it all makes for a fine experience if you dine with friends who like to share good food, laugh and have fun. It's known as a place to host a party and has banquet rooms for business luncheons or birthday parties. Expect credible versions of mussels marinara, huge bowls of salad, spaghetti, linguine and rigatoni with several kinds of sauce, pizzas of all sorts and main courses like chicken Marsala. You also may find Romano-crusted tilapia and salmon with sun-dried tomatoes, pesto cream sauce and pine nuts. Buca claims to have two portion sizes: small (feeds up to three people) and large (feeds up to six people), but those would be some hungry people. Try to save room for the dolce platter, a medley of desserts including house-made tiramisu, double dark chocolate cake, cheesecake and a seasonal favorite.
