Buddha BBeeQ Restaurant Review:
Among a row of small, ethnic eateries on the way Upper East Side, the oddly named Buddha BBeeQ offers friendly, inexpensive and delicious Asian cuisine in a comfortable setting. Specialties include Korean barbecue and rice bowls, spicy (and we mean burning up) Vietnamese chicken salad, and Thai beef salad. Barbecue varieties are attractively presented with tofu, chicken, beef, salmon or shrimp, in bowls laced with greens, rice, and other veggies. Beer and cold saké complement the spicy notes of the food. Order a lot, or order just a taste. This is a good way to experience the savory and scorching flavors of Korean cuisine without committing to giant-size platters.
