Cafe Citron Restaurant Review:

This Latin bistro in Dupont Circle territory looks as beckoning as a strawberry margarita, but its kitchen falters. The menu is ambitious enough, but its narrow spectrum focuses on an assortment of dishes that sound suspiciously like Tex-Mex cooking, with one or two Caribbean things thrown in for fun. The Peruvian chupe de camarones, a thin broth with bits of seafood and vegetables added for good measure, is fine. Escabeche de pescado comes with a strong vinegar sauce. Dessert includes a sautéed banana in a pool of caramel-orange sauce. But you can stay late and party until the wee hours. Cafe Citron also offers free salsa classes and happy hour.
