Cafe Eclectic Restaurant Review:
Latte-sipping students from prestigious Rhodes College frequent this casual diner and late-night study spot, but it also attracts Midtowners of all stripes. The lunch and dinner menus are heavy on panini, wraps, hot dogs, and a few warm comfort food dishes, like creamy mac ‘n’ cheese with bacon. Eclectic offers plenty of vegetarian options, but vegan diners should be warned that the black bean patty is not vegan. They do, however, sell a vegan veggie and hummus wrap and a veggie dog with caramelized onions. Café Eclectic is also famous for its freshly baked desserts, such as donuts and strawberry cupcakes. And they have a soda fountain featuring creamy milkshakes, ice cream sundaes and soda floats. Canine friends may sit with their human companions on the breezy patio. Sunday brunch runs until 3 p.m., serving dishes that range from scrambled eggs and breakfast wraps to biscuit sandwiches and waffles.
