Cafe Steinhof Restaurant Review:
This Park Slope eatery serves up hearty Austrian and Central European fare in a casual environment. With Austrian trinkets tacked to the walls and an always-fun atmosphere, Steinhof has become a mainstay in the recently gentrified neighborhood. We recommend the Swiss and provolone cheese spätzle, bread dumplings with wild mushroom fricassée and, of course, the schnitzel, Weiner, Jaeger or chicken-style. For dessert, try the Viennese iced coffee, which comes with ice cream and lady fingers. The $7 Monday night goulash is as popular as the Sunday movie night.
