Cafe Zola Restaurant Review:
Join the crowds sitting at outdoor tables on warm weather days, or cluster inside the restaurant to order from the long list of Mediterranean and European-style teas and coffees, like the Truffle Mousse Brevé, a Vienna roast. Brunch fans should visit the salmon hash with horseradish cream sauce. Dinner items are just as creative and include a filet of Loch Duart salmon on a bed of butter-braised leeks. We also suggest the grilled spice-rubbed flat-iron steak with chimichurri, or the lamb chops “A La Turque,” which are marinated in fresh mint and oregano and served with garlic roasted Yukon Gold potatoes, Catalan-style spinach with golden raisins and Marcona almonds. Save room for dessert, specifically the rum-soaked Italian almond torte with amaretto mascarpone cream. The wine list is intriguing, and includes a long list of global options; there's a nice by-the-glass selection as well. Not to be overlooked are such signature drinks as the Moscow Mule: Stolichnaya, fresh lime juice and ginger beer served in a copper mug.
