THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Calafia Cafe & Market A-Go-Go Restaurant Review:

Former Google chef Charlie Ayers opened Calafia as his way of "going public," and the venue hits all the key notes of a modern, hip California café. Pedigreed local ingredients and an extensive selection of vegetarian and vegan fare fill the menu. Breakfast is a much-needed meal option on the peninsula, and diners may choose from healthy plant and protein-based entrées: a daily omelet with hash browns or a tofu scramble with turmeric and cumin. Expect pancakes, french toast, oatmeal and other traditional dishes, too. Meanwhile, rich offerings for carnivores include a distinctive guanciale-burrata pizza. Additional items range from grain and noodle bowls to panini, tacos, burgers and salads, as well as fresh squeezed juices and smoothies. Wine, beer, saké, cocktails and a full coffee and tea lineup complete the beverage program. Desserts are mostly seasonal; consider the gluten-free Calafia banana split to share. In the spirit of Silicon Valley, tables feature tablet-based ordering for guests in a hurry. See pictures of the food, place your order, pay your bill, and even play some games. Communal and individual tables, and bar seating are available.
