Cameron's Restaurant Review:
This is the original establishment in the Cameron Mitchell family of restaurants, and it continues to impress, though perhaps not quite as much as other venues, like Mitchell's Steakhouse and Martini's. The dining room is comfortably small, but prone to being a bit noisy. Almost all of the steaks, chops and poultry dishes come with the classic trimmings, but inventive sauces raise them above standard meat-and-potatoes fare. Entrées range from pan-roasted scallops, low country shrimp and grits, braised beef short rib stroganoff and pan-fried chicken to lamb cassoulet. Save room for the New Orleans bread pudding with vanilla bean anglaise and raspberry coulis, or try the Meyer lemon gratin. Signature cocktails include the elderflower martini.
