About the restaurant: Cantina Frida Mexican Cuisine & Bar is one of those restaurants where you go to see and be seen. It is the big sister to the Frida Mexican Cuisine restaurants --- that explains why there are two Frida restaurants on Beverly Drive. The high ceiling makes the space an impressive one, with a long bar on the left and the kitchen behind a glass wall on the right. The room is so large that there are elegant (and real) olive trees to give it more allure.
Likes: The décor.Dislikes: The chocolate cake, avoid it.
About the food & drinks: Look for tapas-style dining featuring hamachi tiradito, shrimp tacos, chicken mole, grilled salmon with creamy chipotle sauce, and filet mignon, as well as a full bar highlighting a dozen specialty margaritas and cocktails.
