Cantinetta Restaurant Review:

A quiet neighborhood street makes a surprising but inviting location for the elegant stucco walls, lace curtains, antique mirrors, and dark wood tables of Cantinetta. Featuring Northern Italian cuisine and local ingredients, the menu is brimming with robust flavors inspired by Tuscany. Highlighted are antipasti, pastas (don't miss the ricotta ravioli or gnocchi) and entrées, which typically include pork, fish and beef options. Desserts are equally tempting, especially the brown butter torta filled with pears and almonds, and served with cinnamon gelato. The Italian and Northwest-focused wine list is a bit pricey, but you can keep costs down by selecting the house wine. Dine inside or out depending on the season: on a warm night, opt out of the dining room's high noise level and choose a quiet sidewalk table. Don’t let the no-reservations policy deter you; just arrive early or late. Also located at 10038 Main St., Bellevue, 425-233-6040.
