The Capital Grille Restaurant Review:
The Capital Grille's stylish décor includes a mahogany bar and a gallery of photos of famous local celebrities as well as some with names and faces bearing national clout. You may want to start with the restaurant's signature appetizer: pan-fried calamari with hot cherry peppers. Another favorite, especially for those who can't quite make up their minds, is the Grand Plateau (jumbo lump crab, North Atlantic lobster, shrimp cocktail and oysters on the half shell). Steaks are aged on the premises, with choices like filet mignon, a 14-ounce or 20-ounce sirloin, a 22-ounce Delmonico and a 24-ounce porterhouse. Sides include au gratin potatoes, fresh asparagus with hollandaise, roasted seasoned mushrooms and creamed spinach. Don't overlook other entrée options such as lobster, double-cut lamb chops, seared salmon with a two-mustard sauce and grilled swordfish jardinière. Seafood is flown in fresh daily from the Florida coast. For dessert, you'll find crème brûlée, Key lime pie and a flourless chocolate-espresso cake.
