Cary100 Restaurant & Lounge Restaurant Review:
Known as Becky’s for more than half a century, a rebrand has given this restaurant a more contemporary, urban décor. But at its heart, it’s still an American eatery, with loads of all the good Southern fare that’s true comfort food, like chicken and waffles and mac ‘n’ cheese, and the same friendly staff, too. Omelets and home fries endear themselves to loyalists at breakfast, and sandwiches such as a catfish po’ boy roll out at lunch. Really hungry at midday? You can order up all the works with such entrée platters as braised pork chops and two vegetables. Don’t forget to ask about daily specials; Wednesday means liver over rice. Roasted bone-in chicken simmered in gravy is just one of the reasonably priced dinner picks and dessert might be lemon pound cake or a hot fudge sundae. Eat up to gird yourself for partying come nightfall.
