Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant
Tapas and sangría in a revived downtown locale.
Ceviche Tapas Bar & Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Ceviche’s interior boasts colorful Spanish-tiled columns, with Flamenco dancers and guitarists often performing on the weekends. Like any good Spanish restaurant, this convivial place offers a vast menu, with more than 100 small plates for a taste of this and that. There are larger versions of many of the tapas, as well as full portions of various paellas and salads. But even if you’re not into sharing, stick to the small plates that include favorites like tuna ceviche with jalapeño, cilantro and sweet onion; boquerones (anchovies) with tomatoes served over toasted bread; creamy shrimp salad with fresh avocado; smoked mussels; braised lamb ribs; veal, chorizo and pork meatballs; and croquetas de bacalao --- addictively crispy-fluffy fritters made with mild cod and creamy white sauce. On Tuesdays, there’s a special menu with $2 to $4 tapas and $4 glasses of sangría --- ideal for post-work sips and nibbles.
