Charley’s Ocean Grill Restaurant Review:

Charley’s Ocean Grill is something of a Long Branch landmark. There are pretty ocean views, a menu with popular and creative fare, and a relaxed atmosphere. Roasted oysters are tossed with spinach, Italian sausage and mozzarella. Drunken clams are aromatic in their herbal beer bath. Salads are bright and dressings all freshly made; the seafood is reliably fresh and tasty. The Prime pork cowboy steak is “bone in” and served with a bacon-caramelized onion bourbon sauce. There’s even a vegetable stir-fry with a spicy ginger teriyaki sauce served over rice. The wine list offers more options than one might expect at such a casual place. Come fall, Football Sundays are a big deal with special prices on drinks and finger foods.
