THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chateau France Restaurant Review:
Nestled within a 1910 Victorian mansion, this very French restaurant offers romantic, old-world charm. Appetizers include market price caviar (an item not easily found in Florida). The menu also features five different filet mignons in addition to Châteaubriand, breast of duck, breast of chicken (stuffed with Maine lobster) and, on occasion, sautéed frogs' legs. Since the menu changes from time to time, season to season, one favorite to ask for is the chicken breast medallions stuffed with lump crab meat. Also, al fresco dining is an option on the restaurant's veranda. Many desserts are prepared tableside, including crêpes Suzette and bananas flambé. When available, Château also offers white and black truffles and Kobe filet mignon.
