THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chateau Madrid Restaurant Review:
Sitting on a short hill, this restaurant has an Old World look and feel inside with a very contemporary view of the Intracoastal Waterway. Its menu, while somewhat limited, is creative and focused where diners expect: veal, roast duck in orange sauce (pato à la Valenciana), chops and seafood. Always popular, this restaurant has been consistently praised by food critics who also like the in-house sangría. Appetizers range from mussels in a whiskey sauce to smoked salmon. There are lobsters, steamed or baked, and, of course, Florida grouper. For seafood, try the mariscada en salsa verde, a seafood combination in a green sauce over linguini. Filet salteado criollo is a worldly touch, served with black beans and rice. The menu also features rack of New Zealand lamb with mushrooms flambéed with brandy.
