Invariably packed with Chelsea locals (booking is essential at weekends), this delightful gastropub has the now necessary stripped floorboards and dusty antiquarian books. The cheerful staff serve a range of unpretentious modern British dishes from fish to the de rigueur Sunday roast, plus first-rate puddings. Also offered: wines by the glass and decent beers, too.
