THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Cheshire Grill Restaurant Review:
This is the place for a big bite of local history, along with big deli-style sandwiches. Walls, halls, ceilings, menus and even the bathrooms are loaded with memorabilia from the citys retail past. Youll find everything from school records and doctors orders for baby care to bicycles and fashions from an earlier era. Owner Isaac Williams has created a comfortable, familiar place for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch. Hearty omelets and open-faced bagels are as satisfying as the three-dozen or so sandwiches. The Antique Adventure, piled high with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and dressing on rye, is an adventure in itself. Dinner entrées are limited, but the grilled Delmonico steak with mushrooms and the meatloaf with onion gravy are worth a visit. Generally good value for the money, but the best comes last. Divine desserts are prepared on the premises and are big enough for two. Dont miss the chocolate torte---its heaven in a ramekin.
