CinCin Restaurant Review:
Michael Wei, owner of Yangming in Bryn Mawr and a partner at Nectar in Berwyn, delivers much appreciated upscale Chinese cuisine to the northern Philly neighborhood of Chestnut Hill. Dark wood accents and etched glass panels enhance this tasteful spot, with forgiving lighting and soft music. Have a cocktail, and enjoy the crab meat and asparagus salad with jícama, red onions, red pepper, Thai basil and lime; the four flavor beef in lemongrass sauce; or another spicy dish --- saké wild-peppered chicken. Brandy-infused beef in hoisin sauce can also light a fire. Sautéed jumbo lump crab cake with basil and sweet-and-sour pork are milder. For dessert, try the white chocolate crème brûlée or a chocolate soufflé.
