Ciro’s Cibi Italiani exudes a casual, friendly ambience. Warm-colored walls are dotted with charming murals of Italy and the wood-burning oven fills the air with rich, welcoming aromas. Lunch time is packed with business diners and the evening with happy regulars feasting on Ciro Lampasa’s northern Italian cuisine tinged with touches of the Gulf Coast. Perched on the edge of the Katy Freeway Ciro’s always seems to be bustling. With a menu full of hearty, healthy choices and a lotsa pasta special which allows you to mix and match pasta, sauce and ingredients to your liking, Ciro’s make a great business lunch spot and the service is always attentive. Greater starters include New Zealand mussels in a tangy balsamic reduction sauce and delicious mushrooms stuffed with crayfish. The arugula di Gorgonzola with roasted almonds is a simple, terrific salad. The white clam sauce is a winner as is the roasted chicken ravioli. Creative sauces abound along with traditional lasagna, fine individual pizzas from the wood-burning oven and delicious herb-crusted rotisserie chicken. The grilled entrées like the ribeye in a Chianti-mushroom-Gorgonzola wine sauce and shrimp Ciro are recommended as well.
