Colbert Restaurant Review:
When Oriel closed at this Sloane Square address, the Sloane Rangers who inhabit the local area mourned its passing. It was an institution. Never mind the food or the service, it had simply always been there. But Colbert, from noted restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, looks as if it has been around for decades with its tiled floor, wood chairs and red leather banquettes and French posters. And the all-day menu keeps the punters streaming in. Start with “The Full English” breakfast or toy with some organic porridge, then choose from the classics, which range from a croque monsieur to whole roast sea bream. There’s enough on the menu for the locals and it’s a good destination if you’re shopping in Chelsea or visiting the Royal Court Theater next door.
