You know the saying: the higher the restaurant, the higher the prices. The high prices at Compass Arizona Grill keep it from joining the ranks of what are considered hot-spots, but it's still a good place to bring out-of-towners or older children for a special evening. Arizona's only revolving restaurant, Compass has a circular dining room on the Hyatt's 24th floor offering one of the city's best views. The menu is now more Mediterranean/Spanish, not Southwestern, but there are nods to border cuisine with blue masa calamari, chile lime crab cake, and seared scallops with Sonoran winter wheat and Arizona goat cheese. Reliable standards like filet mignon, pan-seared chicken accompanied by chorizo manchego risotto, and salmon with cucumber grape relish comprise the rest of the repertoire.
