Concord Hill Restaurant Review:
Chef Angelo Romano, who was the toque at the short-lived but acclaimed Masten Lake, is in the kitchen at this vegetable-centric spot in Williamsburg. The loud, oft-packed dining room swarms with servers and food-loving hipsters jostling for tables. The menu is an odd balance between health-conscious fare (grilled turnips, a dandelion greens Caesar and chili-and-pecorino-spiked long beans) and hearty not-so-healthy dishes (a double patty burger, a very good roast oxtail, and tender lamb shoulder paired with sweet potatoes). There is not much in terms of dessert and the wine list is short with some affordable options. Concord Hill isn’t the destination restaurant Masten Lake fans were hoping for, but Williamsburg denizens should be satiated enough with a pleasant neighborhood place.
