Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant & décor: This wine-centric restaurant has brought a different type of dining experience to this busy town. It’s a place where a wine store welcomes patrons as they enter, and a willing staff will help pair all courses of the meal to the ideal tipple. Besides, the setting and the menu are glamorous and fetching. How about a sparkling interior with wood accents and fancy outdoor seating, and a patio area that can be enclosed for inclement weather? There’s even a private dining space and a tasting room for those who want to sip and ponder wine after wine.
Likes: All the food.
Dislikes: None.
Food & Drinks: For those more drawn to food than drink, the menu lists some standouts: for starters, the crispy Brussels sprouts accented by sweet Thai chili sauce, and the Asian pork belly tostadas. Choose from beef, pork, seafood, chicken and pasta entrées; noted for the latter, Cooper’s Hawk turns out gnocchi carbonara, probably the kitchen’s signature dish. An assortment of sandwiches includes the peppercorn ranch burger, loaded with flavors, some rather spicy. All of these options make picking not so simple. Each selection comes with a suggested wine. Also available are chef recommendations and gluten-free, happy hour and children’s fare. Desserts are wickedly tempting, from the chocolate cake with hazelnut ganache to the salted caramel crème brûlée with fresh berries.
