Coppa Osteria Restaurant Review:
Coppa Osteria from restaurateurs Charles Clark and Grant Cooper, who are also responsible for Ibiza Food & Wine Bar and Brasserie 19, serves Italian food in a fun atmosphere. There’s even a walk-up pizza window for those who want to pick up slices for dinner at home. It can get crowded, and a little loud, at dinnertime as Rice Village and West U folks flock here for the aforementioned pizzas (try the ham and egg pie with spicy pork shoulder and quail eggs) and executive chef Brandi Key’s house-made pastas like rigatoni smothered in Parmesan sauce. Starters are simple; we like the warm olives and the cheesy breadsticks. In fact, you can make a meal with several small dishes and a salumi or cheese board along with a bottle of wine from the nicely curated list at reasonable price points. Among the typical Italian-American desserts is a standout lemon pudding cake.
