The Crack Shack Restaurant Review:
Located on Costa Mesa's compact, hipster-luring 17th Street, this outpost of the fast-casual San Diego-based micro-chain is the brainchild of Top Chef All-Stars champion Richard Blais. Chicken is the name of the game: patrons can order up a wide range of poultry goodies from traditional fried chicken to sandwiches of varying preparation, such as grilled or pollo asado. Kicked-up traditional sides like papaya and mango slaw and schmaltz-fried fries complement unique accompaniments like chicken oysters and deviled eggs. A full cocktail menu and a rotating tap list of beer and wine options are also available.
